Abstract

Over the last years, UVC LEDs have enabled cost-effective and efficient disinfection systems and tools [1], [2]. In this work we investigate the optical degradation kinetics of 265 nm SQW LEDs [3], focusing in particular on the non-monotonic and current-dependent optical power variation, with the aim of identifying the root causes of the optical instability of solid-state UVC emitters.
