Abstract

To identify a stategy allowing the avoidance of additives in milk as anticlostridial agents, a study was undertaken on immobilized lysozyme. In this paper we report the results for a commercial lysozyme immobilized on chitosan and silica gel by means of physical adsorption, on cross-linked polystyrene divinylbenzene matrix by the formation of ionic bindings and on non porous glass beadsby covalent attachment. The improvement of the lytic activity of the immobilized enzyme on Micrococcus luteus cell suspension was also investigated
