University tutoring is a powerful resource to support students’ personal and educa- tional development, responding to their needs and promoting academic success. In particular, the University of Padua (Italy) proposes the «Formative Tutoring» (FT), a university tutoring program based on activities and meetings, aimed at supporting students’ educational pathway through the enhancement of some particularly important soft skills. The programme originates from the Spanish initiative «Tutoria Formativa de Carrera», and has been customised to meet the needs of the Italian and Padua contexts. The programme is accompanied by constant research and evaluation initiatives, both ex ante, in itinere, and ex post, aimed at monitoring the processes and improving the proposed activities. We present here some results from the assessment procedures about participation, soft skills enhancement and satisfaction rates
