Ethics of care provides a justification for the model of Responsible Research and Innovation, based on the idea of participation. This, however, does not solve the problem of the participation of those vulnerable people who cannot take part to the process of negotiation on values to be put at the centre of innovation. This raises a question of justice at the heart of care ethics. Only rights, covering the needs of those who are not able to participate, can make participation truly participative and responsive of all needs at stake.

Abstract
Ethics of care provides a justification for the model of Responsible Research and Innovation, based on the idea of participation. This, however, does not solve the problem of the participation of those vulnerable people who cannot take part to the process of negotiation on values to be put at the centre of innovation. This raises a question of justice at the heart of care ethics. Only rights, covering the needs of those who are not able to participate, can make participation truly participative and responsive of all needs at stake.File in questo prodotto:
