Abstract

Sentences with plural expressions can often be interpreted in many ways, as has been established and investigated in formal semantics (see Landman, 1995, Lønning, 1997 for summaries and references). This multitude of interpretations has also been studied in language acquisition (see Avrutin and Thornton, 1994, Brooks and Braine, 1996, Ferenz and Prasada, 2002, Musolino, 2009, Roeper et al., 2011, Syrett and Musolino, submitted, among others). In this paper, we focus on the acquisition of readings available to non-quantificational plural noun phrases.
