The mobility of excess electrons in liquified noble gas mixtures Ar-Kr and Ar-Xe has been measured as a function of the solute concentration and of the applied electric field at the normal boiling point of Ar (T-b = 87.4 K). The experimental results are in strong disagreement with the results of a modified deformation potential model, while they can be well described within the frame of reference of a gas-kinetic model by suitably introducing concentration dependent scattering cross sections.

Abstract
The mobility of excess electrons in liquified noble gas mixtures Ar-Kr and Ar-Xe has been measured as a function of the solute concentration and of the applied electric field at the normal boiling point of Ar (T-b = 87.4 K). The experimental results are in strong disagreement with the results of a modified deformation potential model, while they can be well described within the frame of reference of a gas-kinetic model by suitably introducing concentration dependent scattering cross sections.File in questo prodotto:
