Abstract

In many cases student evaluations of teaching have became a major source of data on teaching quality, and most universities have developed internal procedures for collecting and analysing these. The reports produced both at a national level and at a local level constitute an important basis to assess the university teaching. A significant internal evaluation must record the points of view of those who directly participate in the educational process. the research hypothesis is that the general aspects are indipendent from the context. However there are also specific aspects dependent from the context(planning of educational curricula, faculty organisation). the aim of the study was to ask students of four facoulties to express the criteria they consider important in the evaluation of university teaching. the instrument used is the semi-structured interview, and qualitative analysis of the data collected are conducted using scientific software Atlas.ti. the outcomes confirm our hypothesis showing differences among the four faculties considering the multiple dimensions of the university teaching.
