In this paper the immunity of a Brokaw bandgap towards electromagnetic interferences superimposed to the supply voltage is investigated. For the first time, the attention has been focused on the bandgap cell itself, verifying that it is the main responsible of the device wrong operation in the presence of radio frequency noises. The device model is firstly validated comparing some experimental measurements with computer simulations, using both S-parameters and susceptibility analyses. The most important parasitic capacitances responsible for a correct immunity prediction are presented, with some suggestions to possibly reduce the bandgap susceptibility.

Abstract
In this paper the immunity of a Brokaw bandgap towards electromagnetic interferences superimposed to the supply voltage is investigated. For the first time, the attention has been focused on the bandgap cell itself, verifying that it is the main responsible of the device wrong operation in the presence of radio frequency noises. The device model is firstly validated comparing some experimental measurements with computer simulations, using both S-parameters and susceptibility analyses. The most important parasitic capacitances responsible for a correct immunity prediction are presented, with some suggestions to possibly reduce the bandgap susceptibility.Pubblicazioni consigliate
