Abstract
The main drawback of mechanical heart valves (MHVs) is possible thrombus formation, which reduces hemodynamic performances and increases embolic events. The present study describes an approach to the in vitro assessment of various thrombotic deposits on a bileaflet mechanical valve by the analysis of power spectra calculated from the phonocardiographic signals in the ultrasound range.File in questo prodotto:
