In this paper a strategy for local monitoring of voltage stability indicators is presented. Two methods based upon the response to small perturbing actions performed at the monitored node are proposed. The possibility of obtaining non contradictory indices considering varying system operating conditions and background noise in the voltage level has been investigated by means of dynamic simulations on a realistic power system.

Abstract
