An attempd of differential fertility analysis is carried out by studying the interrelations between migration and fertility patterns. The own-children method is used to obtain retrospective fertility measurements by the linkage of the young children enumerated in the census and their mothers, classified by different mobility characteristics (such as place of birth, present and previous place of residence). A decreasing trend of the currenmt total fertility rates is found within the various groups of women ("life-time movers", "non movers", "movers before 1976"), except the "recent movers". In this group we can suppose the impact of marriage, that probably causes mobility, as the particular fertility age patterns confirm.

Abstract
An attempd of differential fertility analysis is carried out by studying the interrelations between migration and fertility patterns. The own-children method is used to obtain retrospective fertility measurements by the linkage of the young children enumerated in the census and their mothers, classified by different mobility characteristics (such as place of birth, present and previous place of residence). A decreasing trend of the currenmt total fertility rates is found within the various groups of women ("life-time movers", "non movers", "movers before 1976"), except the "recent movers". In this group we can suppose the impact of marriage, that probably causes mobility, as the particular fertility age patterns confirm.Pubblicazioni consigliate
