This contribution presents new scientific evidence and the multimodal musealisation of the Ca’ Cima terracotta rattle (IG 12929), recovered from infant grave 39 and dated to the late third–early second century BCE. Following 3D digitisation, multispectral imaging, anechoic recording, X-ray, and CT analyses researchers identified four clay pellets, regular wall thickness, and a sealed insertion hole, providing new evidence on its manufacture. A co-design process involving musicologists, archaeologists, designers, engineers, museum staff, and partners shaped the installation. It combines a relief-enhanced 3D-printed replica with a touchscreen, motion sensing, wireless audio, and vibrotactile feedback, enabling visitors to explore the artefact through gesture-based interaction. Audio narration and Braille navigation support inclusive access. Now installed in the permanent exhibition of the National Archaeological Museum of Adria, this research experience offers a prototype for research-led, multimodal approaches to displaying and re-reading archaeological sound artefacts.
