We extend some results of Bertolini [Ber01] on the non-existence of finite submodules of Pontryagin duals of p -power Selmer groups of rational elliptic curves over anticyclotomic Zp-extensions of imaginary quadratic fields to the case of modular abelian varieties over totally real number fields.

Abstract
