In this contribution, in the context of the Greek-Arabic tradition of Themistius’ paraphrase of Aristotle’s Posterior Analytics, I would like to highlight a quotation from therein used in al-Fārābī’s first discourse of the al-Madḫal ilā l-ṣināʿa (Introduction to the Art), the first treatise of Kitāb al-Mūsīqī al-kabīr, where Posterior Analytics is mentioned several times.

Abstract
