Abstract
In 2019, approximately 37 Gton of CO2 were released into the atmosphere, highlighting the urgent need for innovative energy solutions. Space heating and cooling account for significant energy consumption, with cooling demand in Europe expected to exceed 100 TWh annually. Latent thermal energy storage (LTES) offers a promising approach to optimize energy management. This study evaluates a novel 18 kWh LTES using roll-bond technology and bio-based phase change material. A numerical model in TRNSYS assesses its impact on a 150 m2 dwelling in Venice, Kuala Lumpur and Brisbane, analyzing energy savings, A/C system interactions and thermal comfort improvements.Pubblicazioni consigliate
