Andrea Michieli published a thorough book on labour participation in economic decision processes that is of extreme interest for economic thought. The central subject is constitutional law, but it deals with fundamen- tal theories on labour participation, institutional reform and political debates that are relevant for economic historians. It mainly deals with XX century Italy, with a central focus on the debates on the writing and implementation of the constitution. But it also follows in the course of history the various proposals for reform as well as the evolution of the European rulings on the subject. It is extremely detailed and well documented so that it represents a good reference for all researchers that study labour and economic reforms.
