A method for recognizing a food preparation, in particular a coffee powder, for making a drink, and/or for recognizing the extraction quality of the dispensed drink; the food preparation being contained in the infusion chamber (9) of a machine for making a drink, in particular coffee, the machine being provided with at least one measurement device (2, 3, 20, 21 ) adapted to measure the flow rate or pressure or number of air bubbles or turbidity of a liquid flowing in a duct (4, 22) of the machine, and to generate a signal associated with said measurement; wherein the recognition of the food preparation is performed as a function of said signal.

Abstract
