Experimental measurements of the local birefringence of spun multi-core fibers are presented and related to differential group delay measurements. Results, supported also by numerical simulations, show how spin can effectively reduce the differential group delay also in multi-core fibers, if properly designed.

Abstract

Experimental measurements of the local birefringence of spun multi-core fibers are presented and related to differential group delay measurements.
