This chapter explores the relations between food and cultural heritage as dynamic cultural resources rooted in the migration experience: Moving along with people through different routes, food, heritage, and culinary practices are constantly reinterpreted, rephrased, and adjusted to new contexts perceived as disorienting and conflicting. The chapter also argues that the concept of foodscapes is stimulating for the analysis of different paths of integration, inclusion and exclusion and, therefore, contributes to the understanding of “making up society.”

Abstract
This chapter explores the relations between food and cultural heritage as dynamic cultural resources rooted in the migration experience: Moving along with people through different routes, food, heritage, and culinary practices are constantly reinterpreted, rephrased, and adjusted to new contexts perceived as disorienting and conflicting. The chapter also argues that the concept of foodscapes is stimulating for the analysis of different paths of integration, inclusion and exclusion and, therefore, contributes to the understanding of “making up society.”File in questo prodotto:
