The study and reconstruction of ancient landscapes play a crucial role in understanding the dynamics of site activation, development, and evolution in archaeological contexts. In particular, the analysis of preliminary data obtained from the study of plant macroremains (including charred wood and carpological remains) from the 2022 - 2024 excavation campaigns at the Roman settlement of San Basilio di Ariano nel Polesine (RO) proves valuable for reconstructing the composition and exploitation of environmental resources in a context that, today, exhibits significantly altered characteristics compared to its past conditions.

Abstract
The study and reconstruction of ancient landscapes play a crucial role in understanding the dynamics of site activation, development, and evolution in archaeological contexts. In particular, the analysis of preliminary data obtained from the study of plant macroremains (including charred wood and carpological remains) from the 2022 - 2024 excavation campaigns at the Roman settlement of San Basilio di Ariano nel Polesine (RO) proves valuable for reconstructing the composition and exploitation of environmental resources in a context that, today, exhibits significantly altered characteristics compared to its past conditions.File in questo prodotto:
