Abstract
This paper, based on archival evidence, proposes a reflection on the female monastic spaces, focusing in particular on the ecclesiastical and monastic areas where the contact with the outside world was permitted thanks to the presence of iron grates, the choir and the parlor. Some documented examples will therefore be illustrated regarding the links that existed between the religious community and the laity of Venice, which involved all social classes.File in questo prodotto:
