This article describes the Teaching4Learning Program for new faculty at the University of Padova, Italy. The program places a strong emphasis on learner-centered teaching, transformative learning, self-directed learning and community of practice, promoting active learning while cultivating critical and creative thinking skills. This innovative pedagogical approach has become a foundational principle for new faculty development and organizational change at University of Padova. This case study highlights several challenges and how to link these issues to teaching and learning theories, organizational development and political academic strategies.
