We present preliminary results of fusion cross section measurements for 12C + 28Si, performed at the INFN-Laboratori Nazionali di Legnaro, using 28Si beams from the XTU Tandem accelerator. We have used the combined set-up of the γ-array AGATA and two annular DSSD Si detectors to identify and count the fusion evaporation events by coincidences between the prompt γ-rays and the light charged particles (p, α) evaporated from the compound nucleus. The light particles have been identified through pulse shape analysis, using the rise time and the energy signals. Five beam energies have been measured in the range 50-29.5 MeV.

Abstract
We present preliminary results of fusion cross section measurements for 12C + 28Si, performed at the INFN-Laboratori Nazionali di Legnaro, using 28Si beams from the XTU Tandem accelerator. We have used the combined set-up of the γ-array AGATA and two annular DSSD Si detectors to identify and count the fusion evaporation events by coincidences between the prompt γ-rays and the light charged particles (p, α) evaporated from the compound nucleus. The light particles have been identified through pulse shape analysis, using the rise time and the energy signals. Five beam energies have been measured in the range 50-29.5 MeV.File in questo prodotto:
