In the last few years, several scholars underline the importance of the relationship between trust and performance management and measurement (PMM) practices, proposing theories to understand this connection. However, most studies focus on one or two of trust dimensions, often overlooking its multidimensional nature and its overall relationship with PMM practices. Moreover, existing research typically adopts a single theoretical lens, limiting a comprehensive understanding. To contribute to this research gap, this paper reviews MC and HRM research streams to: (1) identify PMM practices affected by trust, (2) define trust-building PMM practices, and (3) map the theories supporting this relationship.

Abstract
In the last few years, several scholars underline the importance of the relationship between trust and performance management and measurement (PMM) practices, proposing theories to understand this connection. However, most studies focus on one or two of trust dimensions, often overlooking its multidimensional nature and its overall relationship with PMM practices. Moreover, existing research typically adopts a single theoretical lens, limiting a comprehensive understanding. To contribute to this research gap, this paper reviews MC and HRM research streams to: (1) identify PMM practices affected by trust, (2) define trust-building PMM practices, and (3) map the theories supporting this relationship.Pubblicazioni consigliate
