One of the most significant phenomena during late antiquity due to its novelty and the consequences it would have in the medium- and long-term, was the Christianization of urban spaces. This process was not only carried out through the construction of churches, but also of structures linked to their functioning, such as residential environments to house the different members of the ecclesiastical hierarchy, areas of an administrative and economic nature to manage the growing activities by the church in cities. This paper traces this evolution in the city of Cordoba from the 4th to the 8th century.
