We review the status and perspectives of indirect methods that make use of transfer reactions. We focus on two of them that have been extensively used in the past decades to determine cross sections of reactions of astrophysical relevance: the Trojan Horse method and the Asymptotic Normalization Coefficients method. We provide a comprehensive description of the theory behind each of these techniques, followed by an overview of a selection of experiments carried out using these indirect tools.

Abstract
We review the status and perspectives of indirect methods that make use of transfer reactions. We focus on two of them that have been extensively used in the past decades to determine cross sections of reactions of astrophysical relevance: the Trojan Horse method and the Asymptotic Normalization Coefficients method. We provide a comprehensive description of the theory behind each of these techniques, followed by an overview of a selection of experiments carried out using these indirect tools.File in questo prodotto:
