In this paper we investigate the existence and the design of delayed unknown-input observers (d-UIOs) via a data-driven approach, by extending some recent results obtained in [5], [20]. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of such observers are also related to the concept of data informativity introduced by van Waarde, Eising and co-authors in [23] and subsequent works, thus providing a clear overall picture of how several concepts and conditions available in the literature and pertaining UIO design are mutually related.

Abstract

In this paper we investigate the existence and the design of delayed unknown-input observers (d-UIOs) via a data-driven approach, by extending some recent results obtained in [5], [20]. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of such observers are also related to the concept of data informativity introduced by van Waarde, Eising and co-authors in [23] and subsequent works, thus providing a clear overall picture of how several concepts and conditions available in the literature and pertaining UIO design are mutually related.
