The article analyzes Rachel Bespaloff ’s critique of Heidegger’s conception of freedom, highli- ghting the absence of an essential element: the «fiat creator», or the act of pure creation that transcends the limits of existing reality. Bespaloff argues that Heideggerian freedom is con- strained by historical and cultural conditions, while authentic freedom must include the ar- tistic capacity to generate new expressive forms. The author also emphasizes the importance of imagination and sensitivity, particularly through music, as key tools for achieving a deeper and more authentic understanding of human existence.

Abstract
The article analyzes Rachel Bespaloff ’s critique of Heidegger’s conception of freedom, highli- ghting the absence of an essential element: the «fiat creator», or the act of pure creation that transcends the limits of existing reality. Bespaloff argues that Heideggerian freedom is con- strained by historical and cultural conditions, while authentic freedom must include the ar- tistic capacity to generate new expressive forms. The author also emphasizes the importance of imagination and sensitivity, particularly through music, as key tools for achieving a deeper and more authentic understanding of human existence.File in questo prodotto:
