This research examines the connection between environmental, social and economic sustainability the field of social cooperatives operating in circular economy businesses with the goal of understanding how social cooperatives bundle and leverage their resources and capabilities to create increased performance and value. Through a single case study in the Italian context, we investigate how the different constructs of the resource orchestration theory lead to value creation for the social cooperative. The value created is the environmental, social and economic sustainability demonstrated by three themes: value for the society, showcasing transparency and legality, and offering circular economy capabilities for for-profit firms.
