This pilot investigation explores teacher ideals for technology integration in education. The research question leading the exploration is: how can different instruments triangulate to uncover nuanced insights into teacher ideals related to technology integration? This is a work in progress that started with the identification of emerging teacher profiles as perceived by preservice teachers. The present phase narrows both the sample and the focus to explore specifically teacher ideals for technology integration, triangulating data from multiple instruments: surveys, written reflections and online interviews. Emerging teacher ideals were triangulated with measures of TPSE, SQD, TPACK, Stages of Adoption, ICAP and Attitudes towards technology integration. Epistemic Network Analysis (ENA) was used to visualize meaningful connections among data, highlighting distinct characteristics of different teacher ideals for technology integration. This phase of the study poses the basis for further investigation on a larger sample to validate and expand upon these preliminary findings.
