Abstract
Within the framework of the natalist policy of the fascist regime, a law decree was passed in February 1939 which prevented the appointment of celibates as university professors. The rule applied specifically to celibates and not to un-married women. The choice of the fascist legislator not to exclude maidens from service is if anything a confirmation of the irrelevance of women in the overall field of employment and economy. Until August 1943, when the law was repealed, cel-ibates could only be nominated if they had married or, after November 1941, if they had been called up for active military duties. After the war, restorative legisla-tion was approved so that academic career was backdated.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
