The article aims to shed light on the possible uses of neurotechnologies, such as BCI, to enter the metaverse. After discussing some general issues concerning the notion of the metaverse and the alleged radical changes it is supposed to bring about in IT and our lives, we will focus on the opportunities and risks offered by the combination of neurotechnologies and the immersive virtuality of the metaverse.
