EDUsummIT: International Collaboration to Inform Stakeholders about Potentialities of Information Technology in Education

The International Summit on ICT in Education (EDUsummIT) is a vibrant global community that brings together researchers, policymakers and practitioners who are committed to harness the potentialities of Information Technology (IT) in education. Its mission is to actively disseminate and encourage implementation of research in a variety of formats for a range of audiences. This community started from the realization that scholarly work often remains confned within academic circles, failing to make a meaningful impact on practical implementation and policy development. The EDUsummIT community includes researchers, policymakers and practitioners who work together to share their perspectives and collaborate towards their shared goal: identify effective IT uses in education and disseminate the outcomes of a face-to-face, three-day colloquium, in impactful ways. Since its inception and meeting in the Hague in 2009, EDUsummIT has served as a platform for global discourse with biennial meetings, with the exception of 2021 due to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
