This article investigates the psychometric properties of the Italian version of the Revised Two-Factor Passion Scale (Vallerand, 2010) and explores the relation between work passion and work-nonwork conflict and enrichment. According to the dualistic model of passion, harmonious passion is responsible for positive outcomes and obsessive passion is responsible for negative outcomes. In the first study, the Italian version of the Revised Passion Scale was validated. We found support for the reliability of scale scores, for the independence of the two components of passion, and for convergent and discriminant validity. Study 2 found support for the hypothesis that harmonious passion is positively related to work-nonwork enrichment and that obsessive passion is positively related to work-nonwork conflict. Work-related support was not found to have a moderation effect. Directions for future research are discussed.
