The paper investigates the metrics, the formal and textual patterns and the rhetorical modes experimented by Eminescu during the making of Luceafărul. In particular, it dwells on the formal aspects of the three main textual redactions represented by Fata-n grădina de aur, Miron și frumoasa fără corp and Luceafărul, highlighting their experimental nature, determined by the will to create an interstitial genre, the result of an original hybridisation between the cultured and the popular, the high literary and the low folkloric, the solicitations of western models and the profound fascination of ancestral materials.
