The present paper concerns the design of driven precast tapered piles, that have been used within the project of the new Pavillion 37 of the fair quarter of Bologna. A particular focus will be reserved to the evaluation of the axial bearing capacity of these elements and to the prevision of their load-settlement curve. The geotechnical characterization, as well as the prediction of the axial resistance of the piles, has been mainly based on Cone Penetration Test with piezocone CPTu. The previsions will be compared with the results of a series of static load tests performed during the construction.
