OBJECTIVES Intraoral digital impression rep-resents a daily procedure in pros-thetic dentistry that improves pa-tient comfort and reduces operative time. The present article describes a clinical tip to make intraoral scans without remove rubber dam isolation during the preparation of a tooth for a ceramic inlay. MATERIALS AND METHODS To describe the protocol, a patient who has been planned to receive an inlay in the mandibu-lar left first molar is presented. Using digital tools of the intra-oral scanner, it is possible to cut and align different seg-ments of the digital impres-sions made before and aftedental preparation. RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS Within the limitations of the tech-nique, the protocol described provided to make a digital impression with-out blood and/or saliva obtaining a better visualization of the finish line. CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE This technique described a tip to obtain an accurate digital impres-sion when the rubber dam isolation is applied in the mouth of the patient; the procedure could be used by an inexpert operator in digital dentistry.

Abstract
CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE This technique described a tip to obtain an accurate digital impres-sion when the rubber dam isolation is applied in the mouth of the patient; the procedure could be used by an inexpert operator in digital dentistry.Pubblicazioni consigliate
