This article presents a research with the aim to analyse the relationship between didactic actions and the development of a positive attitude towards mathematics. The sample of the research were the students of eight fifth grade classes belonging to four different schools in Treviso and their math teachers. The study, conducted through the administration of two different questionnaires, based on a three-dimensional model of attitude, highlighted that didactic strategies based on the use of suitable socio- cultural artefacts can significantly affect students’ positive attitude.

Abstract
