The accelerator complex of Laboratori Nazionali di Legnaro is made by a super-conducting booster, ALPI, injected either by a Van der Graaf tandem accelerator or by a s-c RFQ followed by 8 s-c cavities (PIAVE). Two big projects are going to be carried out at LNL, the test of AGATA detector in the near future and SPES, an ISOL Radioactive Ion Beam facility. The requests of the nuclear physics users are day by day more ambitious in terms of final energy and beam current. For these reasons a complete study of the actual performances of the present machines and their possible upgrades have been performed.
