The aim of this research was to give an overwiev of changes which happened during the period of three consequtive wars between Venetian Republic and Ottoman Empire in Dalmatia 1645-1718. The territory of hinterland of the city of Zara/Zadar was taken as case study for territorial, administrative, economic and population changes intensified in this period through whole of the Venetian province of Dalmatia and Albania.

Abstract
