The situation about amphorae imported from eastern Mediterranean Sea into Cisalpina in roman times is a problem that is part of the research about transport containers, that is notable in northern Italy thanks to the richness of patrimony in Venetia , area which in the ancient times was very important for consumes and distribution from the Adriatic sea to the territories beyond Alps. In these trade routes a field not deeply studied was the one related to the amphorae from eastern Mediterranean Sea; their presence in deposits of Cisalpina, even if known, was difficulty valuable because the absence of specific studies about. This research (Importazioni di derrate dal Mediterraneo orientale: i dati delle anfore) tries to compensate this gap, not only counting the presence of this kind of amphorae into the Cisalpina sites, but mostly with an identifying analysis, throughout an accurate type-chronological analysis on the whole pieces so popular in Venetia deposits. The first research phase is a census of the attestations, throughout the revision of the edited publications (during the research un-edited were added), about discoveries in northern Italy between the Alps at North and Emilia Romagna at South; this let individuate 112 sites, principally referable to I-III Cent. A.D., interesting for the presence of amphorae with eastern Mediterranean origins. The second phase of the research was focused on analysis of amphorae types recognized during the registry of the attestations: the critical revision of the bibliography and the examination of the containers discovered in Cisalpina lets us to provide synthetically the most complete picture about the typological, chronological and distributive aspects, trying later to define the provenience (in a lot of cases still hypothetical) and the goods transported. At the end I tried to define which trade routes coming from the eastern Mediterranean Sea could have interested the Cisalpina and more in particular the Venetia during the early and middle imperial age and mostly which were the goods most wanted.
