1. Interpretation of award is a post-award remedy available in investment arbitration that aims at clarifying the meaning of an award in case of disagreement between the parties to the dispute. It must be distinguished from other post-award remedies, namely rectification or correction (Rectification of material errors), supplementation (or additional award), revision (Judgments of International Courts and Tribunals, Revision of [MPEPIL]) and, in arbitration under the Convention on the Settlement of Investment Disputes between States and Nationals of Other States (‘ICSID Convention’), annulment (Annulment: International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID)).
