NATURE AND TECHNOLOGY: TOWARDS AN ANTINATURALISTIC NATURALISM

The aim of the contribution is to problematize the dichotomy between nature and technique that has marked a substantial part of the philosophy of the twentieth century. In particular, it is intended here to show the need for a theoretical model that allows to rearticulate the relationship between nature and technique. This model requires: 1. a deconstruction of the traditional dualism between nature and technique; 2. a conception of technique that is not antagonistic to nature; 3. a process of denaturalization of nature. What is meant to be emphasized is that a process of naturalization of technique requires the development of a conception of nature that is receptive to all those concepts (subject, freedom, normativity) that are classically conceived in opposition to nature. This notion of nature is indicated here in the terms of a denaturalized idea of nature.
