Comparative Law has developed through time a plurality of approaches and methodologies. In particular, Law and Cinema is an interdisciplinary view at looking at legal problems that deserves a specific attention. It highlights certain aspects of legal relationship often underestimated like the importance of empathy in judgment, an analysis of the feelings involved in litigation, the social and economic context in which law operates. Apologies are not only an intriguing topic for lawyers, but they are also a recurring theme in film culture, and more specifically in the so-called 'legal movies'. Since cinema is somehow a mirror of society, the Chapter highlights some significant examples of 'legal movies' in order to add something original and useful to the debate on 'Apologies in the Legal Arena: a comparative perspective'.
