The well-being of children and teenagers in urban areas is an index of life quality and sustainability. Pedagogical action, with reference to the right to be heard and to participate, as affirmed in the 1989 Convention on the Rights of the Child, has developed projects to involve them in local planning. A possible way to care for natural and cultural heritage and to implement sustainability is assuming the Outdoor Education perspective through interactive participation. Learning interaction practice in contexts of life and through ways of active citizenship enables children and teenagers to build their own identity thanks to environmental and human relations, thus developing a sense of belonging and increasing their sensitivity to environmental balance.

Abstract
The well-being of children and teenagers in urban areas is an index of life quality and sustainability. Pedagogical action, with reference to the right to be heard and to participate, as affirmed in the 1989 Convention on the Rights of the Child, has developed projects to involve them in local planning. A possible way to care for natural and cultural heritage and to implement sustainability is assuming the Outdoor Education perspective through interactive participation. Learning interaction practice in contexts of life and through ways of active citizenship enables children and teenagers to build their own identity thanks to environmental and human relations, thus developing a sense of belonging and increasing their sensitivity to environmental balance.Pubblicazioni consigliate
