Abstract

HPDC components are facing new challenges, related to high performance in view of highly demanding applications as well as to economical and environmental sustainability. The fulfillment of these requirements is strongly dependent from the availability of new and improved alloys. In this context, the production of these alloys by means of advanced recycling techniques has to be considered as an added value. The paper presents a new generation of recycled Aluminium casting alloys, having relevant characteristics of strength and ductility, making them an interesting opportunity for increasing the use of HPDC in several applications.
