The essay aims to show some meeting points between image and philosophy in Japanese thought starting from the work of Ōhashi Ryōsuke "Kire. The beauty in Japan". In particular we will try and propose a reflection on the subject kire-tsuzuki (切 れ・つづき) through an iconographic and symbolical journey based on the image of Japanese flowers. We will also attempt to put the notion of kire-tsuzuki in connection with some western pictorial experiences (van Gogh and Rembrandt), starting from the remarks of Martin Heidegger and Georg Simmel.

Abstract
The essay aims to show some meeting points between image and philosophy in Japanese thought starting from the work of Ōhashi Ryōsuke "Kire. The beauty in Japan". In particular we will try and propose a reflection on the subject kire-tsuzuki (切 れ・つづき) through an iconographic and symbolical journey based on the image of Japanese flowers. We will also attempt to put the notion of kire-tsuzuki in connection with some western pictorial experiences (van Gogh and Rembrandt), starting from the remarks of Martin Heidegger and Georg Simmel.File in questo prodotto:
