The purpose of this study is to explore how taking into consideration stakeholders’ opinions within a decisional making process whether the involved stakeholders do not use a complete life cycle approach. Two tiles are selected as subject of the study: the first tile is produced through a convetional process, whereas the second one is a prototype realized through a new process co-funded by LIFE+ Program. The method used to compare and select the best tile is a combination of Life Cycle Assessment, Life Cycle Costing and Analytic Hierarchy Process. Three stakeholders are considered: manufacturer, buyer and municipality. What the obtained results tell us is that it is possibile to explore stakeholders’ opinions decomposing the life cycle and assigning the different process units to the stakeholders based on their knowledge and experience. The final strategy obtained respects the stakeholders’ opinions and the concept of life cycle.
