La violenza maschile contro le donne tra governance multi-livello e prospettiva dei diritti umani: vincoli e opportunità

This article analyses the role of multi-level governance in producing a process of policy and law-making integration among States, inter-governmental and supra-national organizations and civil society on male violence against women. Considering the development of women's human rights discourse in the international political agenda and its recent improvement, this issue represents the most significant example of a common-shared commitment among different subjects and actors to achieve a comprehensive public policy framework. Taking also into account that the institutionalization of the civil society feminist participation in policy and law-making, this paper introduces and critically analyses the efforts made by women's human rights international procedures in updating and drafting two fundamental new international instruments to prevent and combat violence and protect victims, within a multi-level governance perspective. © 2018 Società editrice il Mulino S.p.A..
