La verità della finzione. Ambiguità e limiti delle fake news

La realtà non è descrivibile solo con il codice binario true-false, proprio della modalità di programmazione degli algoritmi informatici. Fake non significa propriamente falso, ma mascherato. Il fenomeno delle fake news custodisce la profonda ambiguità della verità nella finzione, evocando il senso originario di ciò che si rivela sottraendosi - Fake news, spread on the network and directed to deceive the reader, constitute a violation, ethical and juridical at the same time, of the freedom of communication, which constitutes the main form of manifestation of thought and which includes the right to objective information. The narration of the news can never be separated from the evaluation of who is reporting it, since every representation is also a judgment of the subject that influences that description. The separation between news and comment implies that the selection, organization, and communication of data can be objective only in describing the facts with loyalty and accuracy and in the interest of the user, reader, listener or viewer, according to the principle of transparency. Reality cannot be described only with the true-false binary code, typical of the computer algorithms programming modality. Fake does not really mean false, but disguised. The phenomenon of fake news, therefore, preserves the profound ambiguity of truth in fiction, evoking the original meaning of what reveals by escaping. For this reason, it is necessary to discern and not generalize. The ambiguities must be recognized and the falsehoods “unmasked”.
